I&#039;m also am a big berry fan but I have a hard time paying this kind of price for berries!  It seems like a good alternative would be to stock up berries while they&#039;re still in season in the fall and freeze them for the winter months.  What do you think?  Quality is compromised just a bit as they must thaw, but 1) you get a much better price and 2) you&#039;re not reinforcing unsustainable consumption habits by purchasing out-of-season produce from faraway places.  I remember one time I had to stop myself from buying blueberries because I realized they were from New Zealand!  Seemed pretty extreme...</description>
