Every year my aunt and uncle send a special Christmas gift to me and my family. It’s a desert confection made in Indiana. Peanuts, chocolate and marshmallows combine to make a heavenly, if rich, package called ‘Chocolate Charlie’. I looked at the ingredients and there were only two things I couldn’t pronounce! The various flavors–marshmallow with just a hint of coconut; milk chocolate and peanuts–and textures–fluffy, smooth and crunchy–combine to make this a once-a-year treat.
Well worth a taste if you ever are in Indiana. Alternatively, the candy makers have an online presence.

My uncle Phil always brought all of his siblings a box of chocolate charlie every Christmas to take home. It brings back alot of childhood memories….we always had chocolate charlie at Grandma’s house on Christmas eve and then we would take our box home for Christmas day. We loved it!

Mallo cup candy is very similar, but without the nuts.
