Mixed Greens inspired me to try quinoa this week. What a pleasant surprise. I used a recipe from allrecipes, which was pretty good. I made lamb chops with it. (one of those things in the meat counter that you pay $18/lb for and get 3 bites out of) The recipe for those came from a friend and it resides in my recipe binder with no trace of the original source. It is pretty much a bbq sauce made from: apricot jam, a splash of vinegar, dijon mustard, cayenne pepper, garlic — spread on during the last bit of grilling. … I also rubbed the chops with ginger and a bit of oil before grilling.
Here’s to quinoa! a nice addition to my library of stand-by dinner options.
